A little bit of our history

Supaporn Charoenwitworakit and her Mum (Bumee) the restaurant's owner and manageress came to Banbury in August 2003 to set up her business, taking over the old building next to the Reindeer Inn. Until February 2005, Sunan Charoenwitworakit (The eldest Sister) now runs the business with the help of her husband (Dang) , her 2 brothers (Somwang, Arkom) and sister-in law (Arista)

"It was a gamble," says Sunan "and very difficult at first to get to grips with all the necessary red tape!. However, it was a gamble that paid off as the intimate restaurant now has a loyal following among locals and a significant 'walk in' trade. Sunan always presents a delightful flower-like figure as she welcomes customers in one of her exquisite Thai-silk outfits. She can brighten even the greyest English days.

''Lovely family run business in Parsons Street, Banbury. Friendly service and good food. Incredible value for their set lunch and happy to change things around on other menus if necessary. Best in Banbury - treated as an individual rather than bottom on seat! ''

" I was brought to Siam House for the first time for lunch. It was beautiful, with such friendly, but discreet, service. Thank you. It may have been the first time, but it will certainly not be the last.
